GrabCAD Print (All Users)
GrabCAD Control Integration. Company Admins can now access GrabCAD Control directly within GrabCAD Print without switching applications. This allows them to manage licenses, users, admins, gateways, and other Control settings from GrabCAD Print.
Why this matters: This improves workflow efficiency by providing seamless access to administrative functions, reducing the need to switch between platforms and making license and user management faster and easier.
Prerequisite: The customer must have access to GrabCAD Control with Admin permissions. Standard users without Admin access will not see the Control option inside GrabCAD Print.
Tray Name Improvements. New trays are now named for the multi-body part or assembly added to them.
GrabCAD Print Pro
Improved Split Registration Marks. The Split Model feature now includes both standard and self-supporting registration marks.
Why this matters: Allows the printing of both the registration pins and holes on vertical surfaces without the need for supports on FDM printers.
Prerequisite: FDM Printer.
fixturemate Improvements. A software dependency required by fixturemate that was flagged as suspicious by End Point security software has been updated. Separately, improvements were made to handle geometry selection when positioning a clamp.
Why this matters: Ongoing software updates to continue to meet cybersecurity requirements, and a smoother experience for fixturemate users.
Array Improvements. Array instances are now numbered based on their order of occurrence in the array, using zero-based axial coordinates for each dimension. For example, a 2×2×2 array produces instances numbered 1 through 8, each labeled with the part name followed by its coordinates: partname [0,0,0], partname [1,0,0], partname [0,1,0], partname [1,1,0], partname [0,0,1], partname [1,0,1], partname [0,1,1], and partname [1,1,1]. Separately, when a new tray is created, it is now named for the multi-body part or assembly added to it.
Applies to: All technologies.
FDM
Variable Thickness Shell. Change whether GrabCAD Print uses a constant thickness shell (default) or variable thickness shell. Constant thickness shells are governed by the body thickness the user specifies. Variable thickness shells are governed by the number of inner and outer contours specified for vertical walls, and the number of layers (defined by the slice height) for top and bottom surfaces. The number of contours can be as few as 1 or as many as 20, and the number of top/bottom layers can be as many as 20 or as few as 0.
Why this matters: Variable Thickness shells provide more flexibility for model specific manufacturing requirements.
Contour Linking. Link contours when multiple contours are created in GrabCAD Print. The default state for contour linking is determined by the material and slice height. The behavior can be toggled by selecting the Link Contours checkbox on the Model Settings panel.
Why this matters: Linked contours make the shell of a model more watertight and create a seam with a lower profile, requiring less post-processing.
Surface Style. Change the style of the visible surface and its supporting surfaces. The Standard surface style provides control over the width of the raster used in the visible and supporting surfaces. The Advanced surface style provides control over the raster width of the visible surface, whether the rasters have a gap or overlap, and independent controls for the raster width and gap/overlap controls for internal surfaces. Surface Style works with both Constant and Variable Thickness shells for the number of layers defined or required by each approach.
Why this matters: Provides AM programmers more control over the visible surfaces of a model, enabling them to choose the technique that better suits the model being printed.
PolyJet
The J850 Core printer is now available. The J850 Core printer provides an optimized PolyJet solution focused on functional prototyping and versatile multi-material applications. The printer supports two print modes: High Quality Speed (HQS) mode, using a 14-micron layer thickness for enhanced surface quality and fine feature detail, and High Speed (HS) mode, using a 27-micron layer thickness to accelerate print throughput and reduce design iteration time. ToughONE materials, including ToughONE Black and ToughONE White, are supported exclusively in HQS mode.
Why this matters: This combination enables users to balance productivity and quality requirements while leveraging the full benefits of durable ToughONE materials for demanding functional prototyping applications.
Added missing color profiles for J5 MediJet and J5 Digital Anatomy. Missing color profiles have been added for J5 MediJet and J5 Digital Anatomy platforms, ensuring all supported color combinations are available.
SAF

- Print Pro: A new feature available in File > Preferences > GrabCAD Labs allows you to run multiple sessions of GrabCAD Print simultaneously. Copy and paste between sessions is available, which will allow you to re-print models from previous projects in in new projects. To open another window, launch GrabCAD Print a second time from the desktop shortcut or Start menu. As this is a Labs feature, you may run into performance limitations, and some functions such as estimations cannot run concurrently between sessions. Please provide feedback so that we can continue improving the workflow.
- Print Pro: A new feature available in File > Preferences > GrabCAD Labs allows you to apply 3D textures directly to your model's faces, enhancing both visual appeal and tactility. Choose from a variety of organic and geometric textures or import your own. Several mapping and displacement settings are available to fine tune the appearance. As a Labs feature, it's still under development, so some issues may occur, but we welcome your feedback. Note that this feature is not available on PolyJet.
- Print Pro: Several additional tools are available when you switch to Face selection in the Model Settings panel, however this was not available for STL models. A new feature for Print Pro intelligently analyzes the mesh of the STL file to determine the faces, which allows Face settings to be applied to STL files as well. To turn this feature on open File > Preferences > Model Updates and check the "Automatically group STL facets into faces" checkbox.
- Print Pro: Range selection in the Project Panel now limits selection to models identified by Search and Filters.
- Some users had been seeing a red error message when launching GrabCAD Print saying “Trigger startup items failed” and the root cause for this error has been resolved.
- ULTEMTM 9085 Resin CG (Certified Grade) is now supported for the 0.2500mm (0.0098 in.) slice height on the Stratasys F3300 printer using the N500 nozzle. It is paired with support material SUP8500B using the N410S nozzle. This new slice height requires GrabCAD Print be paired with printer firmware version 3.7.1.
- ToughOne is a new PolyJet material which offers more strength and impact resistance combined with excellent elongation, which opens the door for: functional prototypes with snap fits, thin walls, and living hinges; manufacturing tools like jigs and fixtures; and custom housings, covers, and brackets. - H350 printers now use the same IP address syntax as other Stratasys printers (e.g. 127.0.0.4 for IPv4).
- A Cure Units Library has been added for P3, allowing you to create up to 5 different curing units. Under each new unit, new Post-Cure Scaling Factors can be created per material. The library is cross-organizational, and each user can select a Cure Unit as a Default. Anyone already working with Stratasys Cure Units does not need to create new units. Existing Post-Cure Scaling Factors will be displayed and applied automatically when setting the tray parameters.
- The range of the scaling parameters (X, Y & Z) in the material profiles for P3 has been extended from [-1,2] to [-2,3].
- You can now connect a Neo800+ in GrabCAD Print, and the Neo800 template can be used for Neo800+ profiles.
- If you need a single support file for two or more models in an assembly, SLC files are generated per model and not for the assembly as a whole. This prevents multiple parts from being treated as one model in the printing stage.
- Reduce material consumption on larger support generations by varying the grid size in the center of the supports. The widened size results in a lower material consumption. Please note, this can only be turned on when the standard scaffold parameters are being used.
- A new parameter was added to enable users to limit the maximum length of scaffold arms.

GrabCAD Print version 1.101, April 2025
Build number 1.101.8.53343 released on 15 April 2025
- Print Pro: A new Pro feature for FDM called Part Classification allows for more control over supports than ever before, and provides a workflow for inserting a component into the part mid-print. To use the new feature:
- In your CAD software, define the areas where you want to block supports as separate bodies and include them in the assembly (or multi-body part) with your model. Meaning, if you plan to pause the job to insert a component, include the component itself in the assembly. If you want to prevent supports in certain regions, add bodies to represent the blocked regions and include them in the assembly.
- After adding the assembly to the GrabCAD Print project, hit "Group" and use the default “Separate Bodies” group behavior, which allows individual components in the assembly structure to be selected.
- Select the body which represents the blocked area and, in the Model Settings panel, find the new Part Classification dropdown. Change from Printed Part (default) to Inserted Part or Support Blocker Part.
- Use Slice Preview to see the changes to supports and add any required Z Pauses.
- Print Pro: A selection of multiple models may now be exported as multiple STL or 3MF files. The individual models will maintain their position and orientation relative to the Export Origin, described below.
- Print Pro: You can now choose an origin point when exporting one or multiple STL or 3MF files. This is especially useful when exporting models as multiple files, as they can maintain their relative arrangement when imported in another application. Choose any of the tray corners or the tray center as the Export Origin.
- You can now assign a personalized alias to any printer you have access to. Previously, renaming a printer was only possible when logged in and connected to a company account, since the printer name is maintained for all users of the company. By contrast, aliases are stored in your local config files and visible only to you, which allows printers to be renamed even when using Print in Offline Mode.
- There was an issue which caused printers to get stuck in an Internal Error status if the app was not launched in a long time. This issue is now fixed such that infrequent usage does not cause printers to get into this state.
- GrabCAD Print now supports 0.5000 mm (0.0197 inch) slice height for Nylon 12CF using the N750H hot end.
- For the best results when printing on the Stratasys F3300, pair GrabCAD Print 1.101 and Insight 19.4 with the printer firmware update version 2.9.0.
- PolyJet part priority may now be assigned to a part at any level of an assembly structure.
- A new material profile has been added to the Validated Origin One and Origin Two collections. This material replaces Deflect 190 ESD (100 μm) which was available under the “Open Exploratory Materials" collection.
