Insight: Open Control Center and click on “Manage FDM Systems”. When the dialogue box opens, click on “Add Manually…”. Enter the IP address of the system.
Catalyst EX: is similar to Control Center. Once it is open click “Manage FDM Systems”. Then click on “Add Manually…".
GrabCAD: Open GrabCAD Print and click the down arrow at the bottom right hand corner next to the print button to open the Printer Dialogue window. In the window, under the Printers list, scroll until you see Connect to a Printer via IP. In the IP Address box, enter the IP address of the printer you would like to connect to.

Fortus 360mc, 400mc, 380mc and 450mc have four stabilizer feet at the bottom corners. Loosen the lock nuts and rotate the stabilizer feet to lift them up into the system until the printer is resting on the four castors near the stabilizing feet. The system can now be pushed across the floor.

If using Control Center or Catalyst EX:
Click on the services tab and then click on the export configuration button. A window will pop up asking where to save the file. Select a save location for the file and click Save.
If using GrabCAD Print:
Open the printer dialogue window by clicking on the down arrow next to print at the bottom right hand corner. Find the printer you want to download the CFG file from and click on the gear icon next to it. Click on Settings button. Then click on Export Printer Configuration button at the bottom. A pop-up window will display asking where to save it. Select a save location for the file and click Save.

Check for proper incoming power to the system and if it is within specification. If there is good incoming power verify the circuit breaker is in the ON position. If there is a rocker switch verify that it is also in the ON position. For systems that have a thermal fuse with a manual reset, first move the system breaker to the OFF position and then press the reset button on the thermal fuse. Now set the breaker back to the ON position and attempt to power on the system.

Unfortunately no, the job build cannot be recovered. It is possible to build the upper half if you can determine what slice height it is at. Then glue the two halves together.

Make sure that the material canister is installed correctly. Reseat the material canister or, if necessary, replace it.

Refer to the material processing guide for hat material.

Perform the following steps:

2. Switch from the current build profile to a more conservative profile (if available).

Replace the tray sheet.

Make sure that the material is installed correctly. Clear any existing obstructions in the filament path to the Y block or to the print head.

Make sure that the material is not jammed at the print head. If necessary, clear the material obstructions.

Unload material. 

From Maintenance mode, heat up the print head tip, and manually clear the remaining material from the print head.

Replace the modelling base and reprint. If necessary, perform a Z calibration and an Auto Tip-to-Tip calibration.

Make sure that the tip wipes are properly adjusted. If necessary, try printing again with new/different material.

Recommendations for properly storing material canisters can be found in the systems User Guide. User Guides are available and can be downloaded from Stratasys Support Center.
For cannisters of material that show signs of moisture, seal the material in a large moisture resistant zip lock bag with desiccant packs. It can take several days to a week depending on the amount of moisture in the material, the amount of desiccant added to the bag and the quality of the zip lock bag.

Model does not stick to modelling base:
Replace the modelling base and reprint. If necessary, perform a Z calibration and an Auto Tip-to-Tip calibration.

Locate the air pressure gauge and verify that the PSI reading at the gauge is within specification for your system. If the gauge reading is out of specification and your system is equipped with an air pressure regulator, adjust the knob on the regulator until the pressure gauge reading is within specification. If it does not increase and your system uses shop air, check the incoming air to your system. Check for any leaks around fittings and tubes. If the gauge displays a value that is within specification for your system and the “check dryer system” message is displayed, there could be a problem with the air pressure sensor switch which will require replacement of the sensor.

Material cannot be loaded:
Make sure that the material is installed correctly. Clear any existing obstructions in the filament path to the Y block or to the print head.

Material cannot be unloaded:
Make sure that the material is not jammed at the print head. If necessary, clear the material obstructions.

Check for proper incoming power to the system and if it is within specification. If there is good incoming power verify the circuit breaker is in the ON position. If there is a rocker switch verify that it is also in the ON position. For systems that have a thermal fuse with a manual reset, first move the system breaker to the OFF position and then press the reset button on the thermal fuse. Resume the print job.

Call your local reseller for price quotes and onsite services. If you do not know who is your local reseller, please find your system serial number and call Stratasys technical support. They can look up the serial number to see who is your local reseller.

Write down the error code and call your local reseller or Stratasys technical support. You may also want to download the configuration(CFG) file if you are able to connect to the system. Technical support may ask for this file for further analysis.

FDM - Print job pauses during printing: Resume the print job.
Fortus 360mc and 400mc: Press the help button on the keypad. It will display a message why the system is pausing. It might also provide a corrective action.
Fortus 900mc and F900: Check the message at the bottom of the touchscreen. It might indicate why it is pausing. Press the health icon. Check which item has a red status that needs to be resolved.
Fortus 380mc and 450mc: Press the system state icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. A message may be displayed that explains why it is pausing.

FDM - Material is jammed at the tip of the print head:
Unload material.
From Maintenance mode, heat up the print head tip, and manually clear the remaining material from the print head.
The system user guide has a section for troubleshooting, “Finding a Remedy”. You can find a section for loss of extrusion. The user guide can be downloaded from the Stratasys Support Center.

Unload the materials. Re-seat the tips, make sure they are fully inserted and in the correct orientation. Check and clean the tip sensor. Perform auto tip calibration, load materials and then perform the tip offset calibration.

Clean the build platform from particles and obstructions, and clear the vacuum filter.

A calibration should be performed every time a tip is replaced or removed. Run auto tip calibration first followed by the tip offset calibration to fine tune. Another time to perform tip calibration is when part quality is poor. Refer to your system user guide for instruction on how to perform and read the tip offset calibration. It can be downloaded from Stratasys Support Center.

Material canister not recognized:
Verify the material is compatible with your system. Some systems require that you purchase the material option and have it enable to be able to use it. Verify that the material canister is installed correctly. Reseat the material canister or, if necessary, replace it.

See your system’s user guide, “Tip compatibility and selection”. User Guides are available and can be downloaded from Stratasys Support Center. The build sheet has a label on it indicating what materials should be used for.

The various software can be downloaded from Stratasys Support Center website. The F123 Series firmware can also be downloaded from this site. Currently, the firmware for other systems require that you send an e-mail email request to support@stratatsys.com or call Stratasys technical support at 1-800-801-6491.

1. Make sure that the room temperature is between 18°C to 25°C.
2. Turn on the UV cooling fans and make sure that fans are turning.
3. Perform a Weight test.

Cause: This might occur when a print job is on a full tray and is sent to print without using the Arrange this Tray option in GrabCAD Print.

Solution: In GrabCAD Print, use the Arrange this Tray option to prevent the shifting of the printed job along the Y-axis.

Remove the cartridge and reload it. If the issue continues, use a different material cartridge and try again.

1. Check the vacuum level in the printer software.
2. If the vacuum levels are OK, check the roller scraper and clean the roller waste collector.

Run the Built-in Tests (Options menu). The tests will identify which axis is experiencing technical issues. Save the test results and the file to the Technical Support Center

Inspect the UV lamp assembly and run the UV Calibration wizard (Options menu > Wizards).

Clean the print heads and perform a Pattern test to check the condition of the print heads.

1. Restart the printer and host PC and try to resend the print job.
2. If the issue continues, check the IP address of the printer computer and run a Ping test from the host PC to check the communication between the printer computer and the server computer.

Restart the host PC and resume the print job.

1. To avoid leakage on the tray, move the tray to the Purge position (Options menu > Go to Purge Position)
2. Check the value of the vacuum level in the printer software and report it to the technical Support Center.
