Cartridge Statuses
You can view the status of cartridges at a glance or inspect the details. The information enables you load and change materials, and when relevant, troubleshoot issues. For example, if the Mismatch status appears, load the required material or change the configuration by running the Material Replacement wizard.
Materials Screen Cartridge Statuses
The following table provides information about the statuses shown in the Materials screen.

Action |
Low Weight |
The weight of the material is low. |
Look at the cartridge details to see the weight and plan accordingly. |
Expires Soon |
The indication appears when the expiration of the material is within a month. |
Look at the cartridge details to see the expiration data and plan accordingly. |
Disconnected |
The weight sensor reading indicates that there is communication error with the weight sensor. |
Restart the printer. |
Not Calibrated |
The printer software indicates that the weight sensor isn’t calibrated. |
Calibrate the weight sensor using the Weight Sensor Calibration wizard. |
Mismatch |
The cartridge loaded is not compatible with the material this channel is configured to in the printer. |
Load the required material or run the Material Replacement wizard to change the configuration. |
Conflict |
The actual weight is different than the expected weight of the cartridge. |
1) Reload the cartridge. 2) If that doesn’t work, load a different cartridge. 3) Calibrate the weight sensor using the Weight Sensor Calibration wizard. |
Weight Inaccuracy |
The actual weight is different than the expected weight of the cartridge. |
1) Reload the cartridge. 2) If that doesn’t work, load a different cartridge. 3) Calibrate the weight sensor using the Weight Sensor Calibration wizard. |
Empty |
The printer is detecting an empty slot. |
Load a cartridge with material. |
Expired |
The cartridge is expired. |
Load a cartridge with material. |
Unlicensed |
The material is not supported by the printer. |
Load a cartridge with licensed material. |
Invalid |
The printer software cannot identify the material loaded because the cartridge authentication fails. |
Load another cartridge with material. |
Missing |
The printer detects an empty slot. |
Load a cartridge in the empty slot. |
Disabled |
The printer cannot currently use material from this slot. |
Restart the printer. |
Material Replacement Wizard Cartridge Statuses
The following table provides information about the statuses shown in the Material Replacement wizard screens.

The selected material in the wizard matches the loaded material. |
No action is required. |
No Change |
There is no material selected. |
If no change is required, then no action is required. |
Duplicate Material |
The material is selected for more channels than allowed by the selected print mode. |
Select a different material in one of the slots. |
Insufficient |
There is not enough material loaded in the slot. |
Load a cartridge in the slot. |
Material History |
This status appears when the selected material cannot replace the current material because the materials are incompatible. |
Assign the desired material to another channel. Or, first select a compatible interim material, and then perform a second material replacement to the desired material. |
Mismatch |
The selected material is different than the currently loaded cartridge. |
Load the selected material or select another material. |
Incompatible with Mode |
The material or arrangement is incompatible with the requirements of the selected print mode. |
Change selection to comply with the selected print mode. |
Head Clash |
The selected material conflicts with the other material loaded in the adjacent channel in the print head. |
Select a different material arrangement. |
